Using ActivExpressions (Learner Reponse Remotes)

ActivExpressions Learner Response Remotes can be a great way to gather data on your students visually. You can use them to score and grade formal or informal assessments that have mutliple choice or text based answers. Once you gather the data you can export it easily into an excell document that you can save as proof that you are analyzing your students data daily. ActiveExpressions can be used on the fly or with a planned Quiz on a Promethean chart. Not to mention that your excell chart can be saved as proof that you are analyzing student data daily.

This will count as 1 credit hour toward your PLUs. In order to earn that credit hour you must do the following

  1. Create your Class Database in the Promethean ActivInspire Software

  2. Create a flipchart with Questions that will show up on the Remotes

  3. Use your flipchart in class to gather data (If you don't have any classes you are exempt from this step)

  4. Export your data to an Excell document

  5. Reply to the Expressions Assessments prompt on the NEC Tech 4 Teachers blog with:

    1. Your Excell data attached

    2. Description of how you used the assessment in your class

    3. How did it go (The Good, Bad, and Ugly)

  6. Respond to at least two other people on the post
